MEMORANDUM AND ORDER By its " Application" dated November 12, 1982, the Applicants in this proceeding propose to withdraw the application for the Pebble Springs construction permits. The request states that no site work has been performed except for an exploratory trench and the erection of a meteorogical tower. No parties oppose the withdrawal request. However the Board wishes to be informed as to whether there needs to be redress of the site.

In particular the Staff and Applicants should inform the Board within twenty days following service of this Memorandum and Order kh OO C

whether the tower will serve a useful purpose if it remains; whether the tower is in the path of a migratory bird flyway; and whether and to what extent the tower has resulted in bird morta11 ties.
