Dear Mr. Rentschler:
This is a request to extend the 30-day reconciliation period re. quired by 10CFR 70.51 e4 for our 11/12/82 inventory which would normally terminate on 12/12/82 to 12/22/82.
This request comes as a result of my not being supplied with all lab data pertinent to the 11/12/82 inventory.
I have been assured numbers will be provided promptly to allow my completion of the 11/12/82 Inventory Reconciliation by 12/22/82 I have attached to this letter data which shows this inventory to be typical of past inventories.
This ten day extension will enable us to complete the analysis of the material.
Enclosed is a check for $150.00 for administrative fees involved with the processing of this request.
I hope you will act favorable on this Request for Exemption.

SUBJECT:
INFO TO DATE TO SUPPORT 10 DAY EXTENTION.
- 1. The I.D. is a gain.
- 2. For the last seven inventory periods between 9/18/81 and 9/10/82,
~
the I.D. a-as percentage of Additions / Removals to Process was 0.1%.
At this point in our' reconciliation, the 11/12/82 I.D. as a percentage of Additions / Removals'to Process is also O.1%. Additions /
Removals to Process for this period is twice the nominal for the last seven periods. The I.D. does, however, exceed both the LEID and the 300 gram deminimus.
- 3. The present I.D.
for the period ir 20% of the LEID Spec. For the seven periods previous, the I.D. as a percentage of the LEID was also 20%.
- 4. If the sum of the last three I.D.'s (which were overall losses) is added to the present I.D. gain, the result overall is approximately 50' grams gain.
I therefor conclude that this inventory result will be comparable to previous inventory results once analyses are complete and final reconciliation accomplished.
I consider this attachment to contain information regarding our Control and Accounting procedures for safeguarding SNM and, as spec-
-ified in 10 CFR 2.790, is not to be placed in the public document
