This certificate is issued to satisfy Sections 173.393a,173.394,173.395, and 173.396 nf the Departrnent of Transportation Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR 170-189 and 14 CFR 103) and Sections 146-19-10a and 146-19-100 of the Department of Transportation Dangerous Cargoes Regulations (46 CFR 146-149), as amended.

25.0 Spare Module (2) Description The container, constructed of 1/8 inch carbon steel plate, is circular in cross section, 40 inches diameter, and approximately 360 inches long.
It has a removable upper half shell employing a stainless steel closure flange with a rubber 0-ring gasket for sealing. The four main handling points of the container are located on the sides at the container base.
Steel skids run the full length of the container.
Each fuel module to be transported is clamped into a renovable trough-shaped strongback which is shock mounted to the interior of the lower shell.
The flanged carbon steel strongback with its stainless steel liner is 323 inches long having holes at regular intervals with stamped station numbers identifying those holes to be used in clanping a particular fuel module.
Each fuel module type has its own clamping arrangement; some claaps will not he in use and are stored within the container. When a fuel module is installed in the sealed container, the container is purged and pressurized with dry nitrogen gas. !1a ximua weight of loaded container is approximately 10,680 lbs.
