This is in further response to your letter dated November 19,1982, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of documents concerning Thor-Westeliffe Development, Incorporated.
Specifically, you requested documents concerning (a) a March 1958 application for a license to purchase, store, and sell uranium metal for research and nuclear power uses, and for authorization to buy uranium metal from the Atomic Energy Commission.
You stated a license for the " storage and transfer of source material" was granted April 1958; and (b) an August 1959 application for a license to produce UFg a construction permit to build a prototype gas centrifuge production Ticility, and an import license to import 3 (later 7) gas centrifuges from Germany for installation near Pittsburg, Kansas.
You stated an import license was granted in
