Dear Mr. Blum:

This letter is to confirm the arrangements we have agreed upon during telephone conversations over the past several weeks concerning the despositions of certain Staff members and consultants. The Staff will make the following people available in Bethesda, Maryland on January 12-13, 1983: Jack W. Hickman, Gregory Kolb, Alan D. Swain, Robert Easterling and David Aldridge. All of these people are from Sandia National Laboratory. Due to the available flight times, Messrs.

Hickman, Kolb, Swain and Easterling must leave Bethesda no later than 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 13, 1983. Mr. Aldridge must depart on the morning of Friday, January 14, 1983. As previsculy agreed, no more than eight hours on January 19 and eight hours on January 13, to end at 4:00 P.M. will be allowed for the depositions of Messrs. Hickman, Kolb, Swain and Easterling. Mr. Aldridge's deposition shall also take no long than eight hours, but may continue after 4 P.M. on January 13. Mr. G.

Bruce Varnado from Sandia has not been identified as a witness in this proceeding, and thus will not be made available by the Staff for deposition.

The following Staff members will be made available for deposition on January 13-14, 1983:

Frank H. Rowsome, 3rd and Roger M. Blond. No replacement has been named for Stephen H. Hanauer who has left the agency.

Since Harold Denton has not been named as a witress or a potential witness in this proceeding, the Staff will not make him available for deposition.

As previously agreed, no Staff member's deposition will exceed eight hours in length.
