MEMORANDUM AND ORDER (Granting Licensees and Staff an Extension of Time)

Because the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) failed to file responses to discovery requests submitted by the Power Authority and Con Edison (Licensees) and the NRC Staff by November 19, 1982, we issued a mailgram yesterday modifying the discovery schedule for these parties. That modified schedule is as follows:

November 29 UCS shall file a list of witnesses it plans to present on Commission Questions 1, 2, and 5, and include the qualifications of those witnesses and a listing of the documents each witness will rely on in his or her testimony.

December 2 UCS shall file substantive answers to the interroga-tories of Licensees and the Staff on Commission Questions 1, 2, and 5.

December 3 Beginning on this date, UCS may conduct discovery by deposition and request the production of documents with respect to Commission Question 2.
