STAFF RESPONSE TO STATE OF WASHINGTON REQUEST TO PARTICIPATE AS AN INTERESTED STATE By letter dated November 10, 1982, the State of Washington Energy Site Evaluation Council wrote the Secretary of the Comission to request that it be allowed to participate as an interested state, pursuant to 10 CFR 62.715(c), in the Washington Public Power Supply System, WPPSS Nuclear Project No.1. (WNP-1) operating license hearing. Specifically, the State requested pennission to make a limited appearance statement.
If a hearing is otherwise held (i.e., the pending intervention

petition by the Coalition for Safe Power is granted), the Staff welcomes the State of Washington's participation.
