Dear Mr. Haynes:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-354/82-05 NO. 1 UNIT HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION By letter dated June 14, 1982, we advised you of our planned g
actions in response to the subject NRC Inspection Report.
We also stated that implementation problems with W-H Constructors' QA program were being addressed on a generic basis with W-H by Bechtel Power Corporation.
Subsequently, we resolved our concerns with W-H's program iriplementation by transferring the responsibility for first-line inspection activities for HVAC installations from W-H Constructors to Bechtel.
Consequently, Bechtel will be per-forming those reinspection activities outlined in our June 14, 1982 letter which were to have been performed by W-H.
This transfer of responsibility also necessitates changing the completion date for the reinspection activities to November 19, 1982.
The results of the reinspection will be made available to your Resident Inspector.
