Enclosed for your review and approval is a copy of our proposed Emergency Plan for the Ward Laboratory of Nuclear Engineering, Revision 1, October 1982, Cornell University Facility Licenses R-80 and R-89, Dockets 50-157 and 50-97.
This rgency Plan '(Revision 1) is submitted as required b 10CFR50.541 to meet the requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix E.2/ y This Emergency Plan (Revision 1) is in lieu of all other plans and is intended to meet the latest NRC requirements. Specifically, it supersedes our proposed Emergency Plan (September 1980) that accompanied our renewal and amendment request for Docket 50-157 (TRIGA) and it should be attached to our renewal request for Docket 50-97 (ZPR).
In preparing this Emergency Plan (Revision 1) we have sulted the recent proposed revision to Regulatory Guide 2.63/ "~

2_/ 10CFR50, Appendix E, Emergency Planning and Preparedness for Pro-duction and Utilization Facilities, states that Regulatory Guide 2.6, Emergency Planning for Research Reactors, will be used as guidance for the acceptability of research and test reactbr emer-gency response plans.
