j I am writing to request exemption from the requirement to have an Emergency j Plan for the Georgia Tech AGN-201 Reactor, Facility License R-111, as specified in 10CFR 50.54(r).

! The ACN-201 was last operated in June,1979, and has been in a shut down and I de-energized condition since then. We are in the process of preparing final

'} plans and a request for authority to decommission the reactor in the very

, near f'uture. In fact, the fuel and in-core neutron source are currently

{ being moved to the fuel storage vault of the Georgia Tech Research Reactor i Facility and will be in place there b ifore November 1,1982.

. The need to prepare an Emergency Plan, which will only be in effect for a

]l very, limited time, and for a shut down and de-fueled facility at that, will delay the preparation of our decommissioning plans and it is on that basis j that I request relief.
