Plant Unique Analysis Submittal

Dear Sir:
Boston Edison is requesting an extension to the scheduled submittal date for the plant-unique analysis report.
In the cover letter of Reference (A) it is l
stated that Boston Edison shall submit the plant-unique analysis "in accordance l
with the schedule provided in the June 29, 1981 Mark I Owners' Group Status l
Summary Report or as subsequently agreed upon by you and the staff". We will submit this report by December 31, 1982 with your concurrence.
We have retained Teledyne Corporation to perform the plant-unique analysis for Pilgrim which includes the preparation of the final report.
Teledyne had i
scheduled the submittal, with the exception of the torus attached piping and items related thereto, for September,1982.
Recent discussions with Teleiyne have revealed that they will not be able to meet the September,1982 submittal.
The new submittal date is December 31, 1982. The delay has been attributed to extensive quality assurance verification which was not previously identified
- by Teledyne.
Bosten Edison is confident that the report will be submitted by December 31, 1982.
