Dear Mr. Rose:
This is to confirm telephone conversations which you and I have had yesterday and today concerning your client's responses to the Staff's Amended First Set of Interrogatories.
You asked yesterday whether, in j
light of a degree of duplication between Edison's interrogatories and the Staff's, answers provided by the League to Edison are a suitable response to the Staff's interrogatories as well. While acknowledging that some duplication exists, I stated that it is the League's obligation in the first instance to determine whether its answers to Edison are completely responsive to certain of our interrogatories.
Incorporation by reference of particular specified answers to Edison may be a suitable response with respect to some interrogatories. We would not find responsive, however, a general reference to the League's answers to Edison.
In our conversations earlier today, you asked whether the Staff has any objection to an extension until October 25 of the time within which to file responses to the Staff's interrogatories relating to League contentions 39 and 109. This is to confirm that the Staff does not object to such an extension; we understand that timely responses will be filed to the remainder of our Amended First Set of Interrogatories.

Finally, thank you for your cooperation in providing me with the equation which was missing from our copy of page 111-3 of the League's answers to Edison's first set of interrogatories.
