W. Jones, 0A The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 9 to Facility Operating License ho. R-53 for the University of Oklahoma, AGN-201 research reactor.
The amendment permits (1) an increase from 12 fuel elenents in the core to a maximura of 20, and (2) the operation of the core in a flux trap configuration.
The amendment changes are shown on the enclosed page as noted by the vertical lines.
The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications saade in response to your recuest dated July 31, 1982.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. Publication of the notice is not required because the change does not involve a significant hazards consideration, nor does it amend a license of the type described in Section 2.106(a)(2).
