SUBJECT:

Reportable Occurrence Per Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.i Davis-Besse Unit 1 Mode 5, Power (Mifr) = 0 and Load (MNE) - 0 As a result of our study of the protection against degraded grid frequency, we have found that added protection is required for the case of the plant o'erating with the in house loads on the startup transformers (01 and 02). Ife will add underfrequency relays which will trip the secondary side breakers on 01 and 02 transformers when an underfrequency condition exists.
