PAWLiNG (NUCLEAR LAKE) SITE CONFIRMATORY SURVEY Thank you for your letter dated July 29, 1993, providing advance notification to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding the confirmatory survey at the Pawling (Nuclear Lake) Site.
As soon as NRC receives Chevron's final verification survey report, arrangements will be made with the NRC's contractor,'0ak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (0 RISE), for performing the confirmatory survey.
The confirmatory survey will involve review of Chevron's final verification survey report, resolving any deficiencies in Chevron's report, preparation of a work plan, performance of field survey, and preparation of draft and final confirmatory survey reports. As indicated in the Confirmatory Order, dated July 2,1993, ORISE needs 60 days after the receipt of Chevron's final verification survey report, to complete the confirmatory survey and the report.
