Although these guides have been in use for some time, reporting requirements have in most cases been established in the Technical Specifications for each f acility.
The Directorate of Licensing has advised that the Technical Specifica-tions for reactor licensees are being changed to incorporate the reporting requirements of Regulatory Guides 1.16, 1.21, and 4.1.
When implemented, these changes will require that some reports previously submitted to the Directorate of Licensing be submitted to the Region III office.
When this change to the Technical Specifications of your facility becomes effective, we request that you provide copies of the required reports as followes Startup Report; First Year Operation Report; and Semiannual Operating, 1.
Effloent, and Environmental Monitoring Reports - submit one copy to the Region III Offica and forward 39 copies directly to the Directorate cf Licensing. This will permit distributica to public document rooms and to offices within the Regulatory Organisation which have'an interest in facility operation.

Abnormal Occurrence (10-day) and Unusual Event Raports -- submit six copies to the Region III Office. ' Regulatory Operations will duplicate and distribute these reports to Nblic document rooms and interested offices within the Regulatory Organisati.an.
