(License Amendment Request Dated May 5,1977) l Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, requests authorization for changes to the Technical Specifications as shown on the attachments labeled Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
Exhibit A describes the proposed changes along with reasons for the change. Exhibit B is a set of Technical Specification pages incorporating the proposed changes.

PROPOSED CilANGES TO T11E TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS APPENDIX A 0F OPERATING j-LICENSE DPR-22 f
Pursuant to 10CFR50.59, the holders of the above mentioned license hereby pro-pose the following change to Appendix A Technical Specificationst 3
Proposed Change On Page 192, TS 6.1.D, between the existing first and second sentences, insert the following: "Ihe Radiation Protection supervisor shall meet the minimum qualifications in Regulatory Guide 1.8, September, 1975." Please note the other change to Page 192, contained in Exhibit B attached, that was submitted to the NRC on January 31,_1977 and is still undergoing review.

_ Reason for Change This is in response to the March 15, 1977 NRC letter trcxn D L Ziemann which re-quested that we propose a Technical Specification stating the minimum qualifi-cations for the Radiation Protection supervisor.
Safety Evaluation-The minimum qualifications stated in Regulatory Guide 1.8, September, 1975, exceed those required by ANSI N18.1-1971, the latter being referenced in the current technical specification.
