Response to 1/26/78 Request for Information on HDFSS On January 26, 1978 the NRC Project Manager for Monticello verbally re-quested additional information related to the proposed High Density Fuci Storage System (HDFSS).

In particular, we were asked to describe the geometry, bics and un<.ertainty used in the criticality evaluations.

The requested informatica is included in the proprietary supplement (Attachment 1) to this document.

is non-proprietary version of the same subject matter is included in the " Design Report and Safety Evaluation for Replacement cf Spent Fuel Pool Storage Racks" which we submitted on August 17, 1977.
