LICENSEE'S MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME On October 10, 1990, the NRC published (55 Fed. Reg. 41280) notice of its Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to Faci 1ity Operating License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consider-ation Determination and Opportunity for Hearing on the applica-tion by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (Licensee) to amend its license for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station to authorize possession only.

On November 8, 1990, in response to this notice, the Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) filed its "..

Comment on Proposed No Significant Hazards Con-sideration and Petition for Leave to Intervene and Request for Prior Hearing."

Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.

S 2.714(c), Licensee's answer to the petition / request is due on November 23, 1990.

Because of the length of the petition / request and the intervening two holidayr 3

(Veterans' Day and Thanksgiving), Licensee hereby moves for an extension by one week of the time provided to file a response.

The undersigned has conferred with counsel for the NRC Staff, who has authorized me to report that the Staff has no objection to this motion provided that the Staff's response time is likewise extended by one week.

The undersigned has also con-ferred with counsel for ECO, who authorized me to report that ECO does not object to either extension.

Consequently, if this motion is granted, Licensee's response will be due on November 30, 1990, and the NRC Staff's response will be due on December 5, 1990.
