Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection of activities related to inservice
inspection conducted by Mr. K. D. Ward of this office during October 9-11,
15-17, and December 10, 1990, and the special safety inspection of site activities
conducted by the NRC NDE Mobile Team of the llRC's Region 1 office during
October 9-16, 1990, tit the Big Rock Point fluclear Plant authorized by NRC
Operating License flo. DPR-6 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. H. Beckman and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspections.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a-selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Documer.t Room.
