20555 License No. DPR-35 Docket No. 50-293 Revision to Boston Edison Company letter dated May 13, 1983

Dear Sir:

In our letter of May 13, 1983, we stated that we intended to issue interim guid-ance to appropriate plant personnel concerning Boston Edison's position on TAP 1 C.o.

This approach was taken because we did not believe we could integrate our I.C.6 policy into an existing Nuclear Operations Procedure (N0P) by August 12, 1983.

This letter is to apprise you of our decision not to issue the guidance and the reason for not doing so.

The integration was accomplished early, and the N0P containing I.C.6 was issued June 17, 1983, making the interim guidance unneces-sary.

Should you wish further information concerning this issue, please contact us.

Very truly yours, PMK/ mat 4QQ dp 8309090461 830902 PDR ADOCK 05000293 1
