lWHEREAS,throughnoeffortsoftheirown,thecitizensofCenugaCountyfind themselves in close proximity to a nuclear power plant known as the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and I
WHEREAS, the Emergency Planning Zone for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant currently!
includes part of Ihompson Township in Ceauga County, and WHEREAS, the citizens of Thompson Township require those protections of an emergency preparedness plan because of their close proximity to the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and f
VREREAS, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is that agency responsible for defining the Bsergency Planning Zone; I
NOV. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ceauga County Board of Commissioners that the Board of Cosunissioners go on record urging tt.e Nuclear Regulatory t
i Commission to maintain the current ten-mile emergency planning zone j
for the Perry Power Plant. It is further resolved that this reso-q lution be sent to the appropriate authorities at the Nuclear Regulatory y
Commission.
