Dear Mr. Barnaby:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation on August 26, 1983, I understand that Battelle-Pacific Northwest Laboratory (BPNL) has no objection to making available to Suffolk county, New York (County) a copy of the contract BPNL has with Dr. Thomas Urbanik of the Texas Transportation Institute. The County's request is contained in a request for production of documents directed to the NRC staff and made on August 12, 1983. Your lack of ob-jection is based on the fact that the contract in question would be available pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request. Dr. Urbanik has previously advised me that he has no objection to making the contract available to Suffolk County. Accordingly, please forward a copy of the contract to me and I will provide it to Suffolk County.
