Dear Chairman Palladino:

As yot know, the NRC Advisory Panel for the Decontaminhtion of TMI Unit II will be meeting with the Commissioners cr. Friday, Ss.ptember 16, 1902.

It appears that there will be 9 cf tne 12 panel menbers attending the meeting.

Some of the items we wish to discuss with the Commissioners are as follows:

A.

The panel wishes to break into small committees with a specific assignment. The question is a two-fold question.

Would sub-committees be permitted? And, if travel is necessary, would travel be reimbursable?

B.

There are topics such as, worker exposure, the Polar Crane and others that are beyond the expertise of the membership of the committee.

When we grapple with an issue that requires a special expertise, would funding be available for the committee to engage the services of an outside " expert" to advise the committee on the particular subject?

C.

We wish to apprise the Commissioners of the continued high-level. stress and concern by our local citizens l

in the TMI area.,

D.

We wish to inquire as to the 01 report on the Parks, King and Gischel allegations. We were advised the report would be completed by the time this letter is being written and have not yet heard of the final report being submitted.

E.

The Hartman investigation by the justice department--

can it be accelerated?

F.

Financing of the clean up.
