Dear Mr. Du Val:
This letter is a request for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to provide on-call contractual technical assistance to Region V of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The enclosed statement of work outlines the background and objective for this work. Funding for on-call technical assistance will be authorized under FIN B8559. Requests for technical assistance under this FIN will be identified by Task , number, and each Task will be accompanied by a separate Statement of Work. Your proposals for each Task must be submitted on NRC Form 189 and should contain at least the information shown in Attachment 1. Standard terms and conditions for NRC work, as approved by DOE Headquarters apply to this effort. A copy of these terms and conditions has been furnished to your office separately. The proposal (one copy only) for each Task should be submitted to: Mr. T. W. Bishop, Acting Director DRRPEP U. S.
