Jackson, MI 49201 + (517) 788-0550 August 3, 1983 James G Keppler, Administrator Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCKET 50-f55-LICENSEDPR BIG ROCK POINT PLANT - REVISED BIG ROCK POINT EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS BOOKLET On June 1, 1983, during a telephone conversation with a member of your Staff, Consumers Power Company requested and was granted permission to insert an errata page into the Big Rock Point Emergency Preparedness booklet. This request was made to allow Consumers Power Company to deplete the existing stock of booklets while making necessary corrections and additions to the booklet.
The errata page developed for the Big Rock Point Emergency Preparedness Booklet consists of five items, three correcting minor errors in the booklet and two which clarify and provide additional information to residents of the Big Rock Point EPZ.
The first two items of the addendum are similar to changes recommended by the NRC staff for the Palisades booklet, Items 3 and 4 of the addendum were recommended by the Michigan State Police. Item 5 corrects the frequency listed for radio stations which would provide emergency information.
This letter provides as an attachment the Big Rock Point Emergency Prepared-ness Booklet with addendum which was distributed during the week of July 11, 1983.
