Dear Administrative Judges:

On July 22, 1983, NECNP filed its

" Response to Applicant and Staff Objections to its Contentions on the New Hampshire State Plans."

The Response contained reworded language for contentions 1 and 10.

NECNP has consulted with the Applicants and Staff, neither of whom objected to the new wording of contention 1.

At Applicants' request, the wording of contention 10 has been changed to the following:

The New Hampshire RERP violates 10 C.F.R.

S 50.47 (a) (1) in that it does not comply with NUREG-0654,Section II.P.7.

All parties agree to this language.

The basis for the contention remains the same.

We apologize for the delay in notifying the Board of the results of our negotiz.tions.

We notified the Board's assistant, David R.

Lewis, of the change in contention 10 this morning, as soon as possible after we became aware that we had missed the deadline.
