NUREG-0737 Technical Specifications
REFERENCE:
Dear Mr. Collins:
" Clarification of TMI Action Plan Requirements,"
identified those items for which Technical Specifications were required.
By way of the above referenced letters, it was requested that facilities review their Technical Specifications to ensure that they are consistent with the guidance provided.
As you are aware, the unique design of the HTGR precludes a one-for-one correlation between the Technical Specification guidance for PWR's/BWR's and Fort St.
Vrain.
In order to circumvent this problem, we have worked closely with the Commission over the past c
several years to formulate Technical Specification requirements that are appropriate for Fort St. Vrain. As a result of this effort, we have submitted a number of amendment requests.
It is car understanding that the amendments that we have either received or that are under review by the NRC fully address all items that are required by the Generic Letters.
If this is not your understanding of the matter, please let me know as soon as possible.
