Dear Mr. Thomas:
I have just received your letter of June 20, 1983, in which you indicate that additional information is needed before the staff can continue the review of the upgraded Emergency Plan for our reactor facility. It was disturbing to find that the standard and regulatory guide.under which the original upgraded plan was required to be written are no longer the documents which provide guidance for reiriew.
Since the review report recommends that ANSI /ANS-15.16-1982 be consulted before corrections are proposed, I must obtain a copy of that standard and study it before a response is composed. This will require an extension of the August 1,1983, deadline by several weeks. I propose providing the requested information by September 15, 1983.
