This letter is submitted on behalf of Commonwealth Edison Company (Edison) pursuant to the Boards request for a quarterly status report on developments in this proceed-ing.

The projected in-service dates for Carroll County Units 1 and 2 remain 2000 and 2001. The circumstances associated with the possible withdrawal from the project of one of Edison's prospective joint owners have not changed significantly since our May 2, 1983 report.
