Farrar letter to C. J. Paperiello dated June 7, 1983
Dear Mr. Paperiello:
This letter supplements our response (Reference (c)) to the inspection conducted by Mr. Phillips and others on January 3-7, 1983, of activities at Dresden Station.
Item 3 of our response (Reference (c)) stated that measures had been implemented to reduce uncertainty regarding the 15 minute notification requirement.
In addition to the action already taken we have revised the System Power Dispatcher Procedure - CC-12 to require notification of State Agencies if the Corporate Nuclear Duty Officer cannot be reached within 5 minutes.
This change brings the instructions for notification of an Unusual Event into line with those for the Alert and Site Emergency classifications.
This action should further reduce uncertainty regarding the 15 minute notification requirement.
To the best of my knowledge and belief the statements contained herein are true and correct.
In some respects these statements are not based on my personal knowledge but upon information furnished by other Commonwealth Edison employees.
Such information has been reviewed in accordance with Company practice and I believe it to be reliable.
