As one of the parties to the completed proceedings in the matter of South Carolina -

Electric & Gas Company's application for an operating license for the Virgil C.

Summer Nuclear Station, you have been receiving copies of correspondence to the licensee originated by the Division of Licensing during our review of tne appli-cation of the facility.

In accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) regulations,' documents s

filed by the licensee and correspondence from us regarding the operation of the i

facility will continue to be made available in the NRC and local public document rooms.

In addition, NRC field offices or headquarters will issue public announce-ments should any significant events occur with respect to the facility.

Since the proceedings to which you were an intervening party have been completed and an operating license issued for the Virgil C. Summer facility and in light of the availability of doctments in the-public records, we will discontinue sending you copies of our correspondence to the South Carolina Electric & Gas Company.
