The 0-ring seals will be bonded with a light coating of RTV adhesive.
QUESTION:
Discuss the acceptance test and maintenance program to be used on the packaging when the optional lid seal configuration is used.
ANSWER:
A leak test shall be performed on the cask prior to acceptance.
The design internal pressure of the cask is 9.23 psi (see Section 2.4.4 of SAR).
Test pressure shall be 1.5 times the design or 13.8 psi.
The leak test will be accomplished using soap bubbles and a 14 psi test pressure.
No leakage will be allowed.
Test sensitivity is per ANSI 14.5.

Prior to each shipment, the 0-rings shall be inspected.
The 0-rings shall be replaced with new 0-rings if the inspection shows a
defect which could prevent the package from forming a
- seal, or every six
