Dear Mr. Crow:
There is an error in the license amendment application which I sent you on June 15, 1983. On page A-4b of the attachment, item No.11 lists the amount of fission products and trans-uranium elements in the form of irradiated fuel as 5.000.000 Ci.
The attached replacment page corrects that to 5,000,000 C1.
This is the same amount as that which the LRC is preseritly licensed to possess and no change is desired.
I have discussed this item with Normal Ket21ach of your section and the attached page formalizes the correction.

e The radioactive materials must be stored in a locked room or rN a locked vehicle when not in use.
The material must be stored.

in containers which meet DOT specifications for transport, except where the storage facility is a facility at the reactor site designated for handling radioactive material.
The radioactive material shall be used for temporary periods e
for instruction of reactor plant personnel in radiochemistry.
The temporary period shall not exceed 60 days, unless approved by the Safety Review Committee.
e All persons using the radioactive material shall be furnished with proper personnel radiation monitors. Radiation survey instruments will be available.
