Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 and 2 50-424, 50-425; Pullman Power Products, Quality of Welds and Radiographs Attention: Mr. James P. O'Reilly Gentlemen:
Georgia Power Company had previously reported a potential deficiency to the NRC concerning the above referenced item. Georgia Power Company has com-pleted its review of this concern and has determined that a reportable defi-ciency or substantial safety hazard does not exist.
A detailed engineering evaluation determined that the quality of welds was sufficient to withstand any potential accident or transient condition.
Therefore, the condition of the as-received pipe spool could not have degraded any safety-related system.
This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
