Dear Sir:
Limiting Condition for Operation (ICO) 3.3.3.3. of the Trojan Technical Specifications requires that a Special Report be provided if certain seismic monitoring instruments are to be inoperable for more than 30 days.
Two triaxial time-history recording accelerographs, ST-6336, located on the Containment base slab and Containment wall were taken out of service on May 17, 1983 for calibration and will not be returned to service until after the Containment integrated leak rate test is completed.
It is estimated that the above instruments will be returned to service by July 8, 1983.
Sincerely, C.
. Yundt i
