g-An agreement has been reached between G.G. Ifpf and Dr. Xulman (Managing

[,i Director of the TU't) that B&W will prepare a report describing the THI-2 p,:

event and the difference between TMI-2 and Muelheim-Kaerifch. The g-objective of this task is to prepare a doctsr.ent to be circulated through f,

out the technical cc:nunity in Gerr.any to de onstrate the safety of the F.

HK design and operating philosoph. The report is also intended to I_-

/

l' show why such an accident is much more unlikely in the M-X design. This i,f report will be prepared by B&W with the help of 88R then will be O,

translated and distributed as a BBR document. The report should be ready p-to discuss with the TV/ in Cologne on May 14, 19,79,.

g The following is infor=ation to be used in the preparation of the BBR docment.

.1.0 CONTENT AND SO4EDULE fN:

t -. is a rough outline of the content of the SSR document.

A is scheduled for completion of the docu=ent so that 4

it may be hand carried by Dave Berger to Germany on Saturday, May 13, a

1979.

Those responsible for the specific tasks are listed on the schedule. The work on this document must be considered first priority p---

3 by all people involved for us to meet the required schedule.

Ce The philosophy behind the preparation of this dccument is to first-prepare a rough draft by Saturday night, May 5,1979. This first

s..

~

cut should be prepared as quickly as possible with infor=ation at K;'

hand with " holes" where necessary for informatian to be obtained e

and filled in later. In this way, we should be able to scope the document and get an idea of the figures and tables that must E..

be prepared.

?:-

Q The review and ca:nent on the first draft will then allow us to

~

.. ~

i. -:.

refine the document into a final rough draft by Tuesday and typed - -

if draft by Wednesday,May 9.

Any B&W review and approval must be L

W finished by Thursday noen so that the typed copy can be finalized 9

and given to reproduction at noon, Friday, May 11. Reproduction fid should be prepared to work Friday night and Saturday as they see fit

As can be seen en Attachcent 2, a German copy of the BBR document

will be prepared by 83R, but will be typed and reproduced by B&W

Mike Henig will also help with the consistency of the document.

You are asked to go through Mike so that he can interface with draft-I b ing to make all of the figures and tables consistant. Mike will also be responsible for the library or information used, the IIst

} 7; of references used by the writers, and the list of consistent abbrevia tions. Any questions in this area should be asked of Mike.
