The control of A W to a six foot level following both ESFAS and SRCI actuation of A W is a design feature of all 205FA plants per approval of CI/A-88-3957.

TVA (NSS-15/16) and WPPSS (NSS-23) will be lead plants for which an NRC review of AW level control instrumentation will take place. TVA, with its FSAR already filed, will ultimately reflect the required instrumentation change first.

The present SAR discussions relative to AFW control can, at best, be described as incomplete in that many technical items are implied but not specifically stated. The SAR for the backlog 205FA plants reflect the various stages of evolution of the presented AFW control equipment. There is no consistency in the SAR information presented. All contracts will be required to update

their system design descriptions in their FSAR submittals.
