LYNCHBURG MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the engineering section responsible for the functional design and associated systems analysis of the reactor coolant and secondary systems; specification of B&W-supplied system and compor, ant reqdirements and inter-faces; mechanical, system, and plant integration; s ad specification of balance-of-plant criteria.
Plans and' implements resea'rch and development programs to meet Department objectives and to support contract analysis requirements within the Section's scope 'o'r respons'ibility.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:'
Responsible.for the analysis of component and system response under steady-state, trans ien t, and accident conditions as required to specify functi.onal design' and performance criteria conforming to applicable codes and regula-
,tions and to quality engineering goals.

Responsible for review and approval of system design descriptions and component design reports to assure. conformanc's with functional requirements and applicable state and federal ' regulations and guides; for review and approval of. contract and standard plant design changes which affect the' plant.pa.rameter list or system and component requirement. specifications.
Interfaces with all other sections of the Engineering Department, Quality Assurance Department, Nuclear Fuel Department, and Project Management to coordinate resolution of technical problems affecting the NSS/S,5 design or several subsystems and components.
EDUCATION:
B.S. Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering or other applicable Technical Degree.
EXPERIENCE: Approximately 10-15 years' experience in engineering and management positions in nuclear or related fields.
