Dear Mr. Martin:
TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT Updated Response to IE Bulletin 79-18 This letter provided an update on the status of modifications at the Trojan Nuclear Plant to resolve def!ciencies in the in-Plant comununication system. These deficiencies were identified during a survey conducted in response to the concerns of IE Bulletin 79-18.
In our letter of September 19, 1979, we indicated that a lighting moduistion system was being considered to correct evacuation system inaudibility in Containment. This system has since been installed, l
resolving the evacuation system concerns for this ares. The remaining l
areas identified as having inadequate audible / visual evacuation systems are scheduled for modifications prior to August 1, 1984. In the interim, the administrative requirements contained in Plant Safety Procedure PS-3-1 will be continued to ensure the safety of personnel in these areas. We will keep you advised of any changes to this schedule.
