Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 License Amendment Fees Amounts Due Your letter dated April 25, 1983 included a schedule of our Amendment Applications and fees due to be paid. We have reviewed this schedule and agree with your Item 1 through Item 4, but would take exception with Item 5.
Item 5 lists our Tech Spec Change Request No. 123 which involved steam generator tube repairs. We paid a $1,200 fee and you list a fee due of
$12,300 on the basis that the request involved complex issues of many technical disciplines. We disagree with this basis.
TSCR No. 123 was submitted as an administrative change only and did not ask for review of the Steam Generator program.
Also, on April 18, 1983, our letter 5211 126 requested that TSCR No. 123 be withdrawn, and on May 5, 1983 we submitted TSCR No. 125 (5211-83-149) which was a re-submission of TSCR No. 123 and in addition requested review of the Steam Generator Repair program. We advised that a total of $13,500 would be forwarded for these;
$1,200 for TSCR No. 125 and $12,300 for the Technical Review Fee.
Attached is our revised listing of the monies paid and due, which shows an over payment by us of $1,900. We would appreciate a refund of this amount at your earliest convenience.
