ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 EXPANSION OF THE QUALITY CONFIRMATION PROGRAM W.O.
57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, As you are aware, the current Quality Confirmation Program (QCP) addresses eleven tasks as described in Exhibit 17 of NRC I.E.
Report 81-13.
Additionally, several other activities are being addressed by the QCP including Gamma Plugs, HVAC Hangers, Conduit Hangers and Cable Tray Hangers in the Control Room.
Our further assessment of concerns at the site indicate additional expansion of the QCP is appropriate to effectively confirm the quality of the plant.
Therefore, it is currently our intent to realign existing programs under the Quality Confirmation Program to address:

Keppler Regional Administrator May 13,1983 LOZ-83-0030 Page 2 We believe this action is consistent with the NRC November 12, 1982 " Order to Show Cause and Order Immediately Suspending Construction" and NUREG-0969, Report of the NRC Evaluation Team on the Quality of Construction at the Zimmer Nuclear Power Station.
The details of these additional QCP expansions are under study and we will advise you of our approach to these concerns in the near future.
