MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO APPLICANT'S REVISED MOTION TO REQUIRE CROSS-EXAMINATION PLANS, DESIGijATION OF LEAD INTERVENORS AND ESTABLISHMENT OF TIME LIMITS Intervenor Barbara Stamiris, through her counsel, respectfully requests an extension to and including May 24, 1983, in which to respond to applicant's motion to limit cross-examination in these proceedings.

Ms. Stamiris' counsel is involved in a hearing from May 19 through May 24, 1983, and will be unable to submit Ms. Stamirls' response within the time allowed under the rules.

The evidentiary hearings will not resume until June 1,

1983.

Therefore, if intervenor Stamiris submits her response by May 24, 1983, this Atomic Safety and Licensing Board

(" Licensing Board")

will-have an entire week in which to decide the motion and hold any conference calls it feels are necessary.

Moreover, applicant's motion, directed solely to limiting intervenors barticina*4-- in these hearings, brings into focus 0305190216gj$$h$9 PDR ADOCK PDR G

certain questions of due process, which Ms. Stamiris wishes to address.

In addition, the NRC Staff has stated that it does not wish to respond to the motion.

Therefore, this Licensing Board will have before it no more than applicant's original motion and intervenors' responses.

This motion and those responses can be carefully considered during the time period allowed prior to the stsrt of the hearings on June 1, 1983.

For the foregoing reasons, Ms. Stamirls respectfully requests an extension to and including May 24, 1983 in which to responi to applicant's motion.

Respectfully submitted,
