Addressed in the report was one item of noncompliance to which a response is required. The item of noncompliance and response thereto are given below:

Item:

Technical Specification 6.8.1.a requires implementation of the applicable procedures recommended by Regulatory Guide 1.33, Appendix A (November 1972) which includes Administrative Procedures.

Palisades Adminstrative Procedure 5.04, section 5.2.b, requires that for completed instrument calibrations, an instrument manifold restoration valve lineup be documented on the calibration sheet.

Contrary to the above, when instrument calibrations of FT-0212 (performed March 3, 1982), FT-0301 (performed July 13, 1982), PT-0205 (performed July 15,1982) and PT-0318 (performed June 16, 1982) were completed, the instrument manifold restoration valve lineup was not documented on the calibration sheet.

Response

Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved Instruments FT-0212, FT-0301, PT-0205 and PT-0318 were inspected for proper valve alignment. All valves were found to be in the correct position. Verification of instrument valve lineup restoration was documented on the corresponding calibration sheets.
