By this letter I acknowledge receipt of the letter, dated Septmber 16, 1982, from Mr. Howard A. Jack. First Deputy Counsel for the New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Mr. Ralph W. Deuster, President, Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS), which provided notice of the Settlenent Date of a Settlement Agreenent, Stipulation, and Order in Civil Action Hos.81-18E and 81-683E in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York

("Settlenent Agreenent").

With the occurrence of the Settlenent Date, all three of the conditions of Section 8 A (added by Change No. 32, dated February 11,1982) of Provisional Operating License No. CSF-1 have been met and the authority and responsibility of NFS under Provisional Operating License No. CSF-1 are teminated.

Under separate cover you shall be infomed of the modification of Indennity Agreement No. B-29 to confom to this change in the license.
