Discussion of Vogtle LAR 19-019 at January 16, 2020, Public Meeting Yasmeen -
For LAR 19-019, the staff notes that on Enclosure 2, pages 25 of 33 and 27 of 33, the final column includes required/provided ratio values of 1.0 and 0.99, and the column is footnoted that Two percent of the value may be added to the design limit as an allowance for minor variances in analysis results.
In a previous public meeting, the staff pointed out that adding two percent would increase the ratios above 1.0. The staff would like to discuss this matter at a future public meeting (e.g.,
1/16).
