DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN, REV. 16 Enclosed is one copy of Revision 16 to the Callaway Plant Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP).
This document is approved and is ready to be implemented in accordance with Callaway Plant procedures and 10CFR50.54 (q).
This revision is the result of our annual review of the Plan.
In addition to minor editing, Letters of Agreement were updated, Protective Action Guides were revised to be consistent with new. EPA guidance and directionn were added for evacuating non-j assential personnel to Reception & Care Centers for I.
j monitoring and decontamination, if necessary.

The following Emergency Action Levels (EALs) listed in Chapter Four were also revised:

EAL 2A Changed the indications to be consistent with Technical Specifications EAL 3K,3L Provided additiu..;l information to better define when mo;.'t oc all (Annunciators) are lost, and when a Plant transient is initiated or in progress.
EAL 6A,6B Revised both EALs as a result of r;;ent

The Unusual Event is driven by 10CFR50.72 criteria; the Alert-is driven by. ten'(10) times the Unusual Event values.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission ULNRC-2770 Callaway Plant Radiological March 2, 1993 Emergency Response Plan, Rev. 16 Page 2 Revision 16 of the Callaway Plant Radiological Emergency Response Plan does not decrease the effectiveness of emergency preparedness at the Callaway Plant.
The Plan continues to meet the standards of 10CFR50.47(b) and requirenents of 10CFRSO. 54 (q).
It is our intent to inplement this revision on April 1,
1993.
