U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington DC 20555 i
Dear Sir:
Response to Bulletin 90-01, Supplement 1, " Loss pf F111.-011 in Transmi.tl.tttiLilanufactured by RqEempant" The purpose of this letter is to provide Portland General Electric Company's (PGE's) response to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Bulletin 90-01, Supplement 1.
The bulletin requests particular actions from operating reactor licensees regarding Rosemount transmitters, Model 1153 Series B and D and Model 1154 manufactured prior to July 11, 1989, used in safety-related systems or installed in accordance with Title 10 to the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50.62 (10 CFR 50.62).
PGE does not have the Rosemount transmitters of concern installed in the l
Trojan Nuclear Plant (TNP). The TNP reactor has been shutdown and defueled permanently and PGE has submitted a request to the NRC for an amendment to the TNP Operating License to prohibit power operation.
Since the Rosemount transmitters of. concern are not installed at TNP, PGE will not be performing any enhanced transmitter monitoring.
Sincerely, W. R. Robinson for J. E. Cross f
