My feeling is ---okay, maybe I just misread it, you 17 know. [ Inaudible.) My feeling, well, I talked to, or heard .18 .from, Charlie Pratt. You know, its a good opportunity. I 19 don't expect any problems in terms of running of test -- object 20 to the test being held without notifying -- the fact that the area,-especially downtown -- two years ago. They have decided 22 not to let Burbank's -- in fact, a pamphlet has gone out to 23 every house in town. That is my understanding -- I've read it 24 -- anything until that's done. I talked with somebody 25 downtown. I talked with a woman that works in [ inaudible).

t 'd-r. 3. 1 She had no idea the test was going to go on. Very loud 2 downtown. There are always going to be some people that don't 3 know, but to date, as far as I've seen, there has been a little 4 (inaudible). There is a poster at the town hall and that is 5 about it. I honestly am concerned. I think they should be 6 tested, but I don't think that Fields hos n epared the town -- 7 SPEAKER: The time is 8:15 a e, 8_ (Pause.) 9 VOICE: I didn't realize that the alert or attack 10 mode or whatever wouldn't be tested. Even the posters I've 11 seen are the same ones using -- on the other hand, I still 12 think you will have the sirens sounded at the loudest. My 13 understanding of the sirens, and I've heard them tested in 14 these -- the tone is a little different, but the volume -- 15 (Transmission _ noise.) 16 VOICE: Five, go ahead (inaudible) 17 (Transmission noise.] .18 (Pause.) 19 VOICE: -- the what's called I think the attack mode, 20 which would indicate a nuclear attack, is the equivalent, if 21 you want to the Seabrook alert (inaudible.) I don't know. 22 There are either six or seven or eight different. tones. But I 23 think they are all going to be -- very.well -- people -- I 24 wanted you to be aware of that. You know where the sirens are, 25 at least the one in the town parking lot. (Inaudible) meeting - ~~

w 'e. a 4 1 -- attended just to suggest that -- notice has not been given. 2 A small ad-in the paper and a couple of posters up. I found 3 - about it because it-is an area of interest, but --you said 4 we'll be working, you know, that morning, I had no idea the 5 test was going to -- I planned to do, by the way, I did this in 6 East Kingston, is a survey either by -- or mail and East 7 Kingston did it by mail and after the test to say, did you hear 8 the siren? You know, where were you during that -- if Seabrook 9 had been operating on line -- Seabrook. In other words, would 10 they know they are supposed to turn the radio on. What would 11 they do? 'What would be there first reaction? (Inaudible] get h 12 your copy of that -- that was done in East Kingston. As far.as 13 I know, you might to investigate at least what the status of 14 the sirens-- be very surprised to read that they had said, at 15 ~ least at some point, and not to long ago, do not sound these 16 sirens at all, for any reason. If you wanted to use them, I 17 think, to call firemen to the station or something and they-18 said no, because were going to think its Seabrook, even if it 19 is not Seabrook. Because-they haVO not been told, what does a L 20 fire sound. They'll ignore them, if they do it too often, 21 exactly. Exactly. I think you will have lot of people there 22 really is a problem at Seabrook, first of all, even though your 23 notice says it is unrelated. Oh, no, nothing wrong with that. 24 Except that.(inaudible.] That is why I don't object to them 25 being tested. I think they should be tested [ inaudible) EPC at

In other 3 words, I am truly concerned that without proper notification on 4 a test, that some people may be injured as a result of the 5 test. See you. 6 (Pause.) 7 VOICE: [ Inaudible) Korea. s' 17 1 (Pause.) 2 VOICE: Yeah, hi. Let me just get a piece of paper 3-here. Let's see. Seven, seven, two, two. Okay. That will be 4 fine. You know, its, I mean its -- on the outside, I suppose 5 you wouldn't really know, we probably.wouldn't really care 6 what -- number as well, if its an extension, seven thousand as 7 opposed you know, something -- we were awfully lucky to get the 8 seven thousand back, because -- so there is no way of knowing 9 maybe weeks or whatever in terms of installation. Could you 10 put a note on the record that I am going to be away the week of 11: the_13th of November. Let me give you another number too. 12' Because my wife -- if it wasn't -- installation is somehow 13. going to be that week. Thanks a lot. Bye-bye. 14 (Pause.) 15 VOICE: Its Fred. How are'you doing? Is your father 16 right there? I'll tell you what has come up. [ Inaudible) a 17 note that Vivian had given me. You know, on prayer that we 18 printed up. And' fortunately, I found it. Its amazing in this 19 office, because there is stuff all over the place. But I was 20 just looking for something else and I found it. And I 21 remembered on the other side, there was another prayer. And I 22 wanted to check with him to see if it was something he also 23 taught her, because I am going to give this to cindy tonight. 24 So I know the first one, she said your father had taught her. 25 No, no, no. It wasn't anything handed out. This was on the

f i! ~

  • 18 11 other side of a piece of paper that Vivian gave me in Church 2

2 several weeks ago. I asked her after she recited the first 3 one, I said, " Gee, could you write that down? I'd like to put 4 it in the bulletin." And then she did that and on the other 5 side of that piece, she gave me another one, called the morning 6 prayer. I knew she had -- Okay. I mentioned in to Martha. 7 And you only need one gallon, right? As far as you-know. We-8- ,could always use more. Well, we'll see.- Maybe get two 9 gallons. I don't know. Martha just got some from Apple Crest 1 10 and she wanted me to try it to see if I liked it because she i 11 had gotten some place else that she didn't like. But I hadn't 12 tried it.-'So, anyway, we'll find some. Why don't you don't 13 bother getting any other cider. We'll get enough for whoever. 14 We can always use anything that's left over. Right? That 15 isn't a problem. I mean, we always drink it, so that will be 16 fine. Whatever. I don't know. I would guess we would '17-probably easily go through a gallon if that is what we are-18 having to drink. Yeah, no problem. Okay. You know, the poem 19 that Vivian printed up. I just found the note. (Inaudible] 20 very interested in it. I told her that I thought -- this would 21 have been a month ago. On the other side she had another 22 prayer and I wanted to see if it was something -- before doing 23 that I wanted to know -- it says " Father, we thank you for 24 the - It doesn't ring a bell. Yeah. But I'm sure Sandy 25. would like to have this piece, this original. And I told

l' 19 .1 Glenn, I thought I had it. But its one of those things, it was l 2. in my' office and probably if I had gone looking for that I 3 wouldn't have found it. But I went looking for something else, 4 and~I found this. I thought Bob did'a fantastic job. Don't 5 you? You-have done probably hundreds, but you know. This 6 was -- somebody told'me it was about his seventh. I'was 7 surprised, because we haven't had that many in Church. May be 8 at funeral ~ homes and here and there. This was I'm sure, 9 (inaudible.) .I thought he -- and I mentioned it to Walter 10 (inaudible.) You know Walter. Of course from (inaudible.) 11 (Inaudible) about it, you know, same thing. I said I think Bob 12 .did a really great job and [ inaudible) blended some personal 13 observations and with the scripture and with you know, we are L 14 called to go out and follow her life -- 15-SPEAKER: The time is 12:15 p.m. l 16 VOICE: It was really, really very good. Yeah. And L 17 I'm sure he'll appreciate that knowing that other people feel L 18 -the same way. Because as you know -- I suppose -- as Walter 19 told me he's already has 18 this year. But you know, after a .20 while, I suppose its fairly easy, although maybe it even gets l 21 too routine. I'm sure Bob put a lot of preparation. I don't 22 think he knew you were there, because I think the way he 23-described the poem and saying this was a former pastor. I 24-think if he had known you -- it probably wouldn't have been 25 appropriate to even say, you know, Talk to Her by Reverend

? 20 .j 1 (inaudible), who is in the back pew there or something. It t 2 wouldn't have been right, either, maybe to call attention. It 3' was -- I thought it was -- That's when I told Walter 4 (inaudible), I said, you know -- it balances out. It can be i 5 harder because he know her personally, but then again at least 6 he was able to-bring what he-knew about her into it. Walter L + 7 said that can be -- you will probably appreciate this -- he 8 - said it can be difficult, or it can be dangerous rather, 9 because he said there have been a few cases where he's used his 10. personal observations and he has stepped on people's toes. 11 He's offended people. So he said, now, it tends to be more 12 general and whatever. But I think that is too bad. 13 Grandmother and with my mother, our pastor, would always meet 14 with.the family, and ask for (inaudible) memories back into 15 (inaudible). Really, Bob-not only did that, but he took-his 16 own recollection and you know. I thought'it was very good. 17 Anyway, I thought I would check with you on this, because I do - 18 Lwant to give it to Sandy tonight. Certainly, I'm sure the ~ 19 family appreciated you being there. I'm sure the Jones' would - 20 have like to have been there if they hadn't been planning on 21 going away. Take it easy. Okay. See you. Say hello to 22 Viola. Bye-bye. 23 SPEAKER: The time is 12:30 p.m. 24 (Pause.) 25 (Transmission noise.] l'
