Dear Mr. Ravenscroft:
This is in regard to your request for approval of four routes to be used for transport of. spent fuel as contained in your letter of December 28, 1989.
This letter addresses the' third of the four routes.
The route, as set forth.in the enclosure, from Portsmouth, Virginia to the L
Department of Energy Savannah River Plant, Aiken, South Carolina, and as L
requested in your letter, is judged to meet the regulatory requirements in
-accordance with 10 CFR 73.37 for shipment of spent fuel and is approved through December 31, 1990.- Also the ports of Port Elizabeth, New Jersey; Baltimore, Maryland; Newport News, Virginia and Norfolk, Virginia, through which the shipment may transit, are judged to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 73.37 and are approved.

along with instructions regarding its use.

his designee, it should be very specific especially with regard to notification o'. c of series shipments. Written notification must designate exactly how many in-cru
